Fat Loss - I'm 5 More Times Spicier Than You

One of the best ways to start melting fat, and keep it off, is to cook for yourself.
I know, it took me all day to think of that!

Going out to dinner and picking up take out is easy. However, these foods are pretty shoddy nutrition wise and aren't going to get your on the fast track to fat loss. They're usually packed with fat, sugar and sodium. Three ingredients that practically guarantee weight gain.

The problem is that many people just don't know how to cook at home without using fat, sugar, and salt to make the foods taste good.

Enter 5 spice, that little pot that's been sitting in the back of your cupboard for the last 5 years.

"Hello, my name is 5 spice and I'm 5 more times spicier than you!" (Michael McIntyre)
Although, there are a variety of spices that can help you lose weight.

There are two primary ways that spices help you lose weight. The first is that they make your food taste better so you don't have to add fat, sugar, and salt to make it palatable. Some commonly used spices include:

* Onion powder, not onion salt
* Garlic powder, not garlic salt
* Peppers (cayenne and black)
* Turmeric
* Cumin

These spices can be found in any supermarket. They're easy to use and they add great flavour to most foods. You might try a little onion or garlic powder and black pepper in a grilled turkey burger for example. You'll get all the taste you could want and much less fat than a beef hamburger.

The other way that spices can help you lose weight is by directly influencing your body. Many spices boost your metabolism and some work as a diuretic to reduce water retention.

Spices that Boost Your Metabolism

Cayenne - Cayenne pepper and even other cooked peppers, have been shown to increase metabolism. It's the Capsaicin in the cayenne pepper that boosts metabolism. Studies have shown that it may also help people lose weight by reducing the amount of calories you absorb. Some people even take capsaicin capsules to help them lose weight. You don't have to do that, just add a little pepper to your meals.

Cinnamon - Cinnamon is on the other side of the flavour spectrum than cayenne pepper but it offers many of the same benefits. Cinnamon actually contains a compound that helps improve your body's insulin sensitivity, which helps store energy in your muscles rather than your fat cells. Just sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on your foods and away you go!

Black pepper and mustard seed also have similar properties to cinnamon and cayenne pepper. In fact, scientists found that one teaspoon of hot mustard can boost your metabolism up to 25% for several hours after eating it.

Fennel and ginger both work as a diuretic. That means they help water flow through your body and flush toxins out. Humans aren't designed like camels and it's a lot better if we have a good flow of water, which helps rid our bodies of toxins that can prevent us from burning excess fat.

If you're on the path to lasting weight loss, open your spice cupboard or drawer and get cooking. You can make some delicious and nutritious food that help you lose weight too.

Drink Quality Water for Improved Health

The human brain is composed of approximately seventy percent water. The entire human body is made up of sixty percent water. So it only stands to reason that our water consumption is one of the most important things we do for our bodies. Drinking quality water can improve your health, improve your moods, and allow you to have more energy.

Quality water is the pure liquid that comes from the earth and has not had any chemicals leached into it. In its natural form this substance has little to no actual taste and quenches the thirst a human has quicker than any other fluid. There is no substitute when you are reaching for a drink that will satisfy your body's requirements and cravings as well as this clear fluid.

Quality water will not stain your clothing when spilled. It does not stain your teeth like the drinking of certain wines, caffeinated drinks, and colored products do. It does not eat away at the enamel of your teeth the way that certain fruit juices containing citrus acid does. It simply makes your thirst go away leaving you hydrated and satisfied.

Quality water has nutrients in it that the body needs to be healthy. You cannot have a healthy digestive tract without the proper amounts of this substance in your daily diet. If you do not consume the right amounts of this fluid you will suffer from constipation do to a decrease in the amount of water in your colon and bowel track. You need to be consuming six to eight glasses that hold eight fluid ounces each day.

Drinking the recommended amount of this fluid will naturally curb your appetite. The fluid fills your stomach and it also gives your body some of the nutrients it is craving so it stops telling you that you are hungry. Try drinking one serving of water before you eat a meal and have a serving along with your meal instead of having soda or tea. You will start to lose weight without any hunger, without any added exercise, without any difficulty.

This drink has nothing but positive side effects. You can get dry skin when you are dehydrated. When you increase your water consumption your skin can become supple and soft like it was. You will also have hair that is healthier in appearance and easier to maintain because you are giving your body the right amount of fluid.

It has been said that by the time a human actually begins to feel thirsty they are already suffering from mild dehydration. Schedule your drinks instead of just waiting for your body to become dehydrated and start calling for help. This will improve all aspects of your health including your mood.

Depressed people are encouraged to increase their water intake by as many as three glasses per day. The added fluid and nutrients revitalize cells in the body and brain that help yo to release natural hormones that fight off the blues.

Quality water is the only thing that you can drink every day and have no repercussions from doing so. Quality water is pure with no chemicals and can improve your looks and moods drastically when consumed in the right amounts. You can get more information at high ph water and drink quality water.

Why Exercising Helps Keep Us Eating Healthy

Anyone who regularly exercises will attest to the fact that while you are working out, one of the last things on your mind is food. You could be playing a sport, lifting weights, or taking an exercise class, but regardless of the physical activity, while you are burning those calories and getting your body into better shape, more than likely a double bacon cheeseburger with fries is not the first thing on your mind at that moment in time.

To top it off, once an individual is finished working out, there is a sense of satisfaction for what was just accomplished. By completing an exercise session, the person is happy with the fact they moved one step closer to getting in the shape they desire. Therefore more than likely when the next meal is considered, something healthy will be chosen.

In other words, why would this person workout in the gym for 2 hours just to then go eat a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a soda essentially nullifying the effects of the workout?

More than likely after a great workout, the individual that has losing weight and getting in shape on the mind will go home and prepare a meal that is appropriately portion sized and healthy. This way not only did this person get an active workout that probably burned 1,000+ calories, but they are now going to eat a meal that is nutritious and satisfying, not detrimental in any way to their goal.
This is one of the major benefits to developing a habit of working out regularly.

When you get your body used to exercising on a consistent basis, this helps inspire you to want to eat in a healthy manner. You will want to prepare meals that are nutritious for your body. You will want to eat snacks that don't needlessly toss 800+ calories into your body just to quench a minor hunger craving. You will want to drink water often to nourish your body, not drink soda or alcohol which will have a negative impact on your healthy lifestyle.

All these decisions become much easier to make when you consistently workout each and every week. Find an activity that inspires you to want to partake in, and if you're unsure if your body able to handle it, ask your doctor and see what he/she recommends.

Finding an exercise, sport, or activity that you enjoy doing is vital so that you continually workout week after week. You've got to enjoy what you're doing so that you consistently stick with your exercise plan.

When you do find something you like to do regularly, you will find yourself more inspired to eat healthy and not put anything considered detrimental into your body. By typing healthy nutrition and regular exercise together, you will accomplish your weight loss goals.

Going Organic Food Diet - Any Worth?

This article will inform you about the world of organic food diet, and aid you in making an informed decision to choose whether you would prefer to eat organic or non-organic food to lose weight. The definition of organic food is food that has been grown or produced in a natural way, which does not include the use of chemicals or pesticides.

The easiest way to ensure that you are getting organic food into your diet is by cooking yourself from home, as you can guarantee that what you are putting into your pan or oven is organic. And in terms of diet food, you can keep a close eye on the calorie content and fat content. It is easy to find organic foods at your local supermarket as they are clearly marked as being organic (USDA Organic labelling), as this has started to be seen as a selling point of food produce over the past few years.

Alternatively, go to your local farmers market and the farmer will be able to advise you there and then if he uses chemical and pesticides on his farm. In this way, you will also be supporting local business in your area. Another benefit is that you will find that you are getting a more varied diet, as you will discover yourself eating seasonal fruits and vegetables, and "variety is the spice of life".

There is scientific research that encourages people to eat more organic food as diet food, because natural foods are easier for the body to process; which means that your body can burn more fat in the same period of time. The benefit of this is that you can still have that plate of steak and chips once a week as long as it is organic steak and the chips are home cooked from organic potatoes.

Remember the best way to lose weight is to have a balanced and healthy diet, which also means that you can have a bit of cheese alongside your stereotypical diet food like fruits and vegetables... everything in moderation.

If you need more persuading to go organic, you will be protecting the environment as the chemical and pesticides used to make fruit last longer or to make corn grow taller damages the environment overtime.

Now, of course, it could be quite challenging to remove non-organic and processed foods from your kitchen, and start going all organic. However it can be done by taking small steps, slowly integrating organic foods and committing your time and energy in preparing your own meals into your daily routine.

To summarise, there are many benefits of organic food diet which is not only good for your body and could help you shed those unwanted pounds, but it is also good for the environment; so we can shed those unwanted pesticides.
